Taiwan day 4: cycling wrong direction

on

Yesterday evening all my body hurt. At night I woke up few times for muscle pain in thighs, but everything kind of passed away with good rest. Immediately after sitting on the bike I felt pain in my hands (where holding handlebars) and ass – and this did not disappeared 🙁

Difficult to believe I was at the other part of the bay just 2 hours back

Sandiao cape is Taiwan’s easternmost point.

Coastal cycling path goes through military area with bunkers etc.

On the way you will see thousands of temples (mainly Buddhist and Taoism)

Seems like I have not chosen good direction for cycling. With this wind against me I cannot even make 20 kph downhill and going slightly more than 10 kph on a flat route. Fortunately I “only” need to do other 400 kilometers this direction:)

Today I did 104 km (last 15 crazy mountain) by bike and moved to Hualien by train (recommended by more people as the route is dangerous)
